A 22-year-old Tweed man is charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Police laid the charges against Nathan Williams on Wednesday after a 19-year-old woman was found dead the night before in the small eastern Ontario town, located about three hours west of Ottawa.

Police were called to deal with a domestic dispute at a home on Victoria Street in Tweed at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. When police arrived at the scene, one of the officers was seriously injured by a male suspect. Police say shots were fired and the suspect was arrested.

Police discovered the body of Kamillah Keller, of Tweed, inside the home.

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is now investigating the case, and says the male suspect was shot at least once.

The suspect and the officer were both taken to hospital in Belleville.

The officer was seriously injured and released. The suspect, who was also seriously injured, was transferred to Kingston General Hospital where he is in police custody.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the SIU at 416-622-0748 or 1-800-787-8529. Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is called in whenever police are involved in a death, serious injury or allegations of a sexual assault.
