OC Transpo buses are running again along the Transitway near Bayview Road and Lebreton following a bomb scare at the Tom Brown Arena.
Ottawa Police evacuated the arena and closed Scott Street and Bayview Road.
The closure caused traffic gridlock during the afternoon rush hour throughout the downtown core, Little Italy and Hintonburg.
OC Transpo was reporting system wide delays of up to 45 minutes.
Police detonated the package with a bomb robot.
Police say the contents were pyrotehnics similar or energy type devices.
All roads are reopened.
As of 6 pm, the O-Train was still out of service.
