Two people suffered serious injuries after an SUV and tractor trailer collided on Highway 17 west of Pembroke.
Highway 17 was closed in both directions around Doran Rd. for several hours as a result of the collision.
Police say the crash happened around 9:45 a.m. They say an SUV travelling northbound on Doran Rd. collided with a tractor-trailer going west on Highway 17 after the tractor-trailer failed to stop at a red light.
A 33-year-old female driver and her 44-year-old husband were rushed hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
OPP charged thr driver of the tractor-trailer, Jean Labine of Gatineau, with failing to stop at a red light.
The highway reopened around 2:15 p.m.
