Tommy & Lefebvre will open a temporary Glebe location after fire destroyed their flagship Bank Street sporting goods store on Tuesday.

The store will be at 680 Bank St., four blocks from the building that has now been demolished thanks to a five-alarm blaze that caused $2 million in damages.

"We are so fortunate, we have the absolute best people," said owner Natalie Tommy. "We're all family."

They hope to rebuild the 18,000-square-foot location. The temporary Glebe store is 3,200 square feet.

"What we've decided to do is create a specialized bike store in this environment, as well as a total tennis location," said Tommy. "Those will be the only two sports that we will concentrate on here."
