Police in Thunder Bay say they have charged two men from the University of Ottawa with sexual assault.
The charges come after an investigation into a complaint made on behalf of a 21-year-old woman. Police say the alleged assault would have happened at a hotel during the early mornings of February 2, 2014.
Police say the men charged were hockey players with the University of Ottawa at the time. They have been identified as:
- 24-year-old Guillaume Donovan of Gatineau
- 25-year-old David Foucher of Gatineau
The investigation involved the Ottawa Police Sexual Assault Unit and the Child Abuse Section of the RCMP.
The accused are scheduled to make their first court appearance in Thunder Bay on September 30.
