Three teenaged girls are facing robbery charges after two swarmings at a south Ottawa transit station Saturday night.

Ottawa police said they were called to the South Keys transit station around 10:30 p.m., where a lone female said she was assaulted and her phone taken by a group of females.

She suffered minor injuries but didn’t need more medical attention.

Police said another female was assaulted and had her bag taken at the same place around the same time, with three female suspects arrested in the area a short time after.

Two 17-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl are charged with robbery, with the 15-year-old facing a second count of robbery and one of the 17-year-olds charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The suspects cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
