Three cyclists are now in 'fair' condition after experiencing serious injuries in a hit-and-run in Kanata last weekend.

An official with the Ottawa Hospital told CTV Ottawa the cyclists are on the mend after being listed in serious condition for several days.

"That means that their vital signs are stable and within or close to normal limits, they're likely conscious and they may still have minor complications," said Valrie Gervais, a spokesperson for the Ottawa Hospital.

Robert Wein, the most seriously injured in the crash, is still listed in critical condition.

The driver charged in connection with the hit-and-run was released on bail on Thursday.

Sommitt Luangpakham, 45, was ordered not to drink, drive or contact the victims or their families. He is required to stay in Ottawa and was ordered to turn in his passport.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 29.
