Three people are facing criminal charges after a bar fight broke out in the Byward Market early Sunday morning.
Just before 2:30 a.m., police responded to a bar in the 100 block of York Street after a man caused damage at the bar and assaulted two of its employees. Police arrived shortly after and were assaulted by the man and two of his friends.
Two employees sustained non-life threatening injuries and two officers sustained minor bruising.
Justin Clermont, 20, is facing charges of assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, uttering threats, causing a disturbance and resisting arrest.
Vanessa Wilson, 26, has been charged with assault with a weapon, assaulting police, causing a disturbance and resisting arrest.
Youssef Sleiman, 27, is facing charges of assaulting police, resisting arrest, causing a disturbance and breach of probation.
