Tony McColl went out last April as a designated driver to get his friends home safely, but another drunk driver crashed into his car while fleeing police.

Tony's death sparked spontaneous tributes at his school, then a Facebook group called Tony's Promise where members pledged never to drink and drive.

His father David and other family members are dedicating their lives to ending impaired driving through a charity of the same name, which is now going national.

"Everyone knew my brother so they knew how great he was," said his sister Alanna McColl. "I guess they are just trying to make him live on, you could say."
