An Ottawa teen will spend four years in jail after robbing three banks in the capital.

Kyle Snooks claimed to have a gun when he robbed the banks last summer. However, no weapon was ever spotted in the robberies.

Prior to sentencing, Snooks acknowledged that the robberies were a mistake. He said he will try not to do it again.

Snooks was arrested on Sept. 1 following a high-speed chase with police in an unrelated incident.
