A 17-year-old boy is dead and two others are in hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle crashed into a sign post in Gatineau.
Const. Isabelle Poirier said the vehicle crashed as it headed eastbound on Maloney Boulevard, near Lebrosse Boulevard, at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
The teen who was riding in the front passenger seat of the vehicle was pronounced dead; two others were rushed to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police have not released their identities.
Poirier said speed and wet roads likely contributed to the crash.
