A 16-year-old South Frontenac teen died in hospital Thursday night after he was critically injured in a car crash north of Kingston earlier this week.
Gavin Davis-Young was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle crash in South Frontenac at about 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt when the truck he was riding in slid through an intersection and struck a utility pole.
Davis-Young succumbed to his injuries in hospital Thursday night.
The crash also seriously injured two other teens. The 17-year-old driver and another 16-year-old passenger continue to be treated for their injuries at Kingston General Hospital.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
