Following an alleged altercation last spring, a taxi driver has filed a lawsuit against the Ottawa police service board and three off-duty officers.
Sami Aldoboni's wrist was broken last spring following the alleged attack.
His statement of claim says the police board is liable for Constable Shyldon Safruk's actions because Safruk identified himself as a police officer prior to the alleged altercation.
Safruk is facing assault charges and will face a trial in June.
