UPDATE: Charges laid in bank robbery spree

 

Ottawa Police are searching for a single suspect believed responsible for two bank robberies late Monday, June 23, 2014.

The man walked into a bank on Richmond Road at 5:30 p.m., handed a note to the teller and demanded cash. He indicated to the teller that he was armed, although no weapon was seen. He fled the bank with cash, running towards Lincoln Fields Mall. 

Two hours later, at 7:30 p.m., the same suspect walked into another Richmond Road bank and demanded cash.  He ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.

There were no injuries in either robbery.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 25-35 years, approximately 6'0" (183cm), pale complexion, 150 lbs, thin build, red or blonde hair, stained teeth. The suspect wore a bright orange construction style jacket, and jeans and sneakers.
