Although there's a proposed new site for the SuperEx on Albion Road, the fair will reopen at Lansdowne Park this August and continue to call the location home for at least three more summers.

Stephanie Sauve, who manages the Glebe Meat Market just down the street from Lansdowne Park, says she's not happy the exhibition is going to stay in the Glebe.

"I can't wait until they leave. Eventually, they'll have to because if they're going to redevelop Lansdowne Park, no one wants to have a ferris wheel beside their condo for ten days," Sauve told CTV Ottawa.

Not everyone feels the same way, though. Some area residents say increased traffic in the neighbourhood is manageable for the two weeks the SuperEx is opened.

"I grew up with it and I think everyone in the Glebe grew up with it, so I think it's a good thing," said Elisabeth Leroux. "I like the energy that it brings to the surroundings."

Paddy Bowen also welcomes the SuperEx to the Glebe. Bowen says she and her neighbours have even given up their driveways to free up parking space for visitors to the fair.

"You could get three cars in a row in a laneway. We'd charge two bucks a car," Bowen said.

The SuperEx is set to open August 14.
