BELLEVILLE, Ont. -- A Sudbury, Ont., woman was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison for sexually assaulting two foster children in Prince Edward County.
Sherilee Slatter, 36, was convicted Dec. 12 in Belleville of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching and sexual exploitation.
Slatter and two other people were charged in November 2012 after three young women complained about sexual assault and child pornography incidents at homes in Bloomfield, with one incident dating back more than 10 years.
Slatter was found guilty of abusing a teenage foster boy in her home about a decade ago and sexually assaulting a teenage girl, who was a foster child in her father's residence, a few years after that.
Slatter's ex-husband, Richard Fildey of Cameron, near Lindsay, was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison last August after being convicted of sexually abusing a female foster child more than 10 years ago.
