A Kemptville woman has been charged with Public Mischief after police say she falsely reported being hit by a car while pushing her stroller.

On December 6, police in Kemptville received a report that a mother pushing her baby in a stroller had been struck, and the driver did not stop.

In an interview with CTV Ottawa last week, 24-year-old Jennifer Lowe said she was walking on Clothier Street in Kemptville when a black sedan coming out of a parking lot struck the stroller and left the scene.

After a police investigation, OPP have determined that there was no collision.

Jennifer Lowe of Kemptville is scheduled to appear in court in Kemptville February 1, 2017.
