A female cyclist is dead after she was struck and killed by an STO bus on Sussex Drive late Wednesday afternoon.

Police have not confirmed the identity of the female victim.

The collision closed Sussex Drive between King Edward Avenue and Boteler Street in both directions. The roads are now reopened.

The incident is the latest in a series of collisions between vehicles and cyclists.

In July, a 22-year-old cyclist died after suffering a serious head injury when he was struck by a vehicle on Ogilvie Road.

A few days earlier, five cyclists were seriously injured when they were struck by a minivan on March Road in Kanata.
