Ottawa Fire Services is investigating a Stittsville fire that caused roughly $450,000 in damage.
Firefighters responded to numerous 911 calls at a residential home on 171 Lloydalex Crescent at around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014. The fire, which began in the kitchen and quickly spread to the bungalow's attic, was put out at 11:11 a.m.
Damage to the building is estimated at $300,000 with another $150,000 in damage to the home's contents.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire. The cause remains unknown.
