One person is in hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Ottawa’s south-end.

Ottawa Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots fired on Paul Anka Drive near Uplands Drive just after 2 a.m.

Police say a 25-year-old man was driven to hospital with gunshot wounds.

Officers were seen searching a parking lot and parked cars for any clues after the shooting. Several bullet holes could be seen in a nearby parking garage.

Colleen Hartwig says she heard five shots fired from her apartment building.

“I went out on my balcony and saw some guy run into the building, then come out of the side door, and then look at his car… get into his car, and then take off,” she said.
