BANCROFT - A man from Bancroft, Ont., has been charged in a fatal snowmobiling accident that happened just before Christmas.

Two snowmobiles collided Dec. 22 on private property east of Bancroft, about 100 kilometres north of Belleville.

One driver, Bradley Easton, 23, of nearby Faraday Township, died in Bancroft Hospital.

The other driver, Joshua Prentice, 20, of Bancroft, was treated for serious non-life threatening injuries.

Police have charged Prentice with impaired driving causing death and driving a motor vehicle with more than the legal amount of alcohol in his blood causing death.

Prentice will appear in court in Bancroft on March 15.
