Shot fired in east end apartment building, two men in custody

There have been reports of a shot fired in the east end of Ottawa this morning.

Police were called just after 7:30 a.m. to a section of a low rise apartment building at 1993 Jasmine Crescent. Parts of the building were evacuated.

The Ottawa guns and gangs unit have taken over the investigation.

Police say a bullet was fired through the floor of one apartment and into another person's apartment below.

Two people have been arrested without incident.
