Seven people will appear in court on Friday after being charged with cocaine trafficking on Thursday, Ottawa police said in a release.

The charges were laid after two search warrants were conducted in the 400 block of St. Patrick Street and the 400 block of Old St. Patrick Street, on the east side of downtown near King Edward Avenue.

Other items seized included crack, pills, bicycle, a coin collection and $1,895 in cash, police said. They also said evictions on the people living in the residences will "commence immediately."

Those charged were:

  • Steven Andrews, 33. Trafficking cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime and breach of undertaking.
  • Cheryl Provost, 48. Trafficking cocaine.
  • Shannon Sergeant, 28. Trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime.
  • Sylvain Dube, 44. Trafficking cocaine (five counts) and possession of proceeds of crime (four counts).
  • Anne Favel, 44. Trafficking cocaine (two counts) and possession of proceeds of crime (three counts).
  • Melissa Glasner, 31. Trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime.
  • Robert Mahon, 40. Trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime.
