UPDATE: The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is advising that a tip from the public has come forward informing that the jeans may actually be saying "Rocawear" jeans and may not say "Ron" on the back.
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public's assistance in solving a recent bank robbery.
On March 21, 2014, at approximately 5:40 p.m., a lone male entered a banking institution situated along the 1500 block of Bank Street near Heron Road. The suspect, wearing a disguise, made verbal demands for cash from a bank employee and a customer in the bank. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash from both the employee and the customer. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 5'8-5'10"(173 cm to 178 cm) tall, medium build, unusually large nose, wearing white a 3/4 long winter coat with a fur collar, distinctive brown or dirty spot on right hand pocket of coat, dirty blue jeans with distinct "ron" written on back pocket, sunglasses, grey neck-warmer, and black leather gloves.
