This is a list of measures and changes the Ottawa Carleton District School Board will implement for September 2011 to deal with overcrowding at Glebe and Kanata Schools.
1.) Roch Carrier Elementary School remains status quo.
2.) Any new students generated from the new residential development be redirected from Roch Carrier Elementary School to Bridlewood Community Elementary School for JK to grade 8 ENG and to W.O. Mitchell Elementary School for SK to grade 8 EFI.
3.) JK students from the Katimavik Elementary School attendance area be directed to Castlefrank Elementary School.
4.) 2011-2012 grade 4 MFI students from Katimavik Elementary School be redirected to either Bridlewood Community Elementary School or W. Erskine Johnston Public School.
5.) SK EFI students from the Stephen Leacock Public School attendance area be directed to Roland Michener Public School.
6.) JK program at First Avenue Public School moved to Mutchmore Public School.
The board also directed staff to consult on the proposed timelines, scope and consultation plan for an accommodation review and report to board at its meeting of March 22, 2011, with its findings and recommendations.
