OTONABEE, Ont. - Provincial police are offering a $50,000 reward for tips in the cold-case homicide of a woman who was beaten to death outside Peterborough, Ont.
The award comes just days before the 40th anniversary of authorities discovering the badly beaten body of Karen Woodcock, 33, in Otonabee Township on July 1, 1973.
Investigators say they have not given up their hunt for Woodcock's killer, despite never identifying any suspects in the case.
The cash reward will go to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for the death of Woodcock, who had seven children.
OPP say they never close an unsolved homicide file and will continue to pursue any information that comes their way.
