A high school in Ottawa's east end was ranked the third best high school in the province according to a report card on Ontario's secondary schools released this morning by the Fraser Institute. It ranked 725 high schools a number of educational indicators, including province-wide standardized test results.

Colonel By Secondary School in the Beacon Hill neighborhood is the top-rated Ottawa school with a score of 9.2 out of a possible 10. It is the third ranked school overall. Nepean High School ranked 8.5 out of 10 and Mother Teresa High school scored 8.3 out of 10.

The lowest ranked Ottawa schools include Ridgemont High School which scored 3.8 out of 10. The Ottawa Technical Learning Centre scored 1.3 out of 10 and Rideau High School scored 0.9 out of 10.
