A one-month-old baby was seriously injured in Renfrew after a car struck his stroller on Raglan Street Friday afternoon.

The collision occurred at 2 p.m. A green 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was driving northbound and merging left onto Bridge Street when it veered right onto a paved shoulder and struck a woman and her baby stroller. There was no sidewalk.

The car than crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a Toyota Sienna van.

The one-month-old baby was ejected from the stroller and suffered serious injuries. He and his mother were taken by air ambulance to CHEO.

Charges are pending against the Monte Carlo's female driver, who was taken to Renfrew Victoria Hospital with minor injuries.
