Sara Washbush is a metalsmith who fashions sculptural and functional art objects. She uses gold, silver, pewter, copper and other metals to create hammered vessels, jewellery and one-of-a-kind objects. Born in Wisconsin, Sara came to Canada in 2005 to complete her Master of Fine Arts Degree at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She now lives and works in Perth, Ontario with her husband, James Byrne, a local veterinarian. Sara's pieces can be seen at Snapdragon Gallery in Ottawa and the A.K. Collings Gallery in Port Hope. She welcomes commissions.
