For three generations the Coutts family has been tapping into tradition to produce the liquid gold Lanark County is famous for. Diana and Ron Coutts were neighbors growing up in Rideau Ferry. They married and settled in the area, taking up the farming tradition. Today Diana and Ron enjoy country living: raising beef cattle, growing vegetables and tapping the sugar bush to make about 800 gallons of maple syrup each season. You can visit the store on their farm for a taste of the country where Diana's home baking and preserves are available. They also sell maple products, beef and other local farm produce.
