Raymond Lahey sentencing hearing begins today
The sentencing hearing begins today for former Roman Catholic Bishop Raymond Lahey.
The 71-year-old Lahey pleaded guilty to importing child pornography in May and voluntarily went to jail to begin serving his sentence.
Court is expected to hear evidence from a police detective today. The hearing will resume again in December.
Lahey was found with videos and hundreds of photos mostly involving young boys when he was stopped at the Ottawa International Airport in September 2009.
