A 14-year-old battling to keep his pirate radio station on the air faced another shutdown Friday when RCMP and Industry Canada officials showed up at his father's hotel, insisting the broadcasts stop immediately.

Industry Canada accuses Jayhaed Saade of broadcasting without a license from the CRTC, and says it sent the teen two letters of warning prior to coming to the Saade International Hotel on Bank St. in Gloucester.

Saade, known as "DJ Jay" on MIX 91.9 FM, pulled broadcasts twice in December at Industry Canada requests. This time, according to media reports, his transmission tower was dismantled and his radio equipment was seized.

No charges will be laid, reports say.
