The Queen will spend three days in Ottawa when she visits Canada later this week.

While in the capital, Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh will tour the newly renovated Canadian Museum of Nature, unveil a statue outside the National Arts Centre, and attend Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill. The visit is part of the royal couple's nine-day tour of Canada.

For those looking to catch a glimpse of the Queen, many events will include walkabouts with the public.

The Queen's itinerary is listed below:

Wednesday, June 30

12:25 p.m. – Canadian Museum of Nature

The Queen will tour the Canadian Museum of Nature, where the Victoria Memorial Museum Building is named after the Queen's great, great grandmother.

The Queen plans to unveil a commemorative plaque at the museum, and meet volunteers. She will also greet the public outside the museum.

1:15 p.m. – National Arts Centre

The Queen will unveil a bronze statue of Oscar Peterson at the National Arts Centre. She will meet the statue's creator, Ruth Abernethy, as well as Kelly Peterson, Oscar Peterson's widow. Peterson performed for Her Majesty when she visited Toronto during her Golden Jubilee. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh plan to also meet with those who are on hand for the unveiling.

1:40 p.m. – Rideau Hall

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will plant a tree to commemorate their visit to Canada at Rideau Hall. It will be the fifth tree the Queen has planted at Rideau Hall.

3 p.m. – Rideau Hall

The Duke of Edinburgh will meet members of the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa; he is their colonel in chief.

4:30 p.m. – Rideau Hall

The Queen meets with Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

5 p.m. – Rideau Hall

The Queen unveils the design for the Diamond Jubilee Window, which will be placed in the Senate of Canada. The window will commemorate Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria for their service as Queen of Canada.

The Queen will also unveil a design for a bust of Her Majesty to be placed in the Senate foyer.

5:20 p.m. – Rideau Hall

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh attend a garden party at Rideau Hall.

Thursday, July 1

12:05 p.m. – Parliament Hill

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will participate in Canada Day festivities on Parliament Hill. The Barenaked Ladies and Quebec pop stars Isabelle Boulay and Marjo, Ontario bagpipers The Campbell Brothers and Newfoundland Indie rock band Hey Rosetta! are scheduled to perform.

The Queen will address the audience and do a walkabout to meet as many Canadians as possible before she leaves.

Friday, July 2

10 a.m.

The Queen meets with Opposition Leader Michael Ignatieff.
