28 Quebec men, including 3 from the Outaouais have been arrested and charged in connection with a child pornography ring.
Surete du Quebec, with cooperation with police in Montreal, Laval, Quebec City and Gatineau announced the charges this morning, following an 8-month investigation.
In an unusual move, police have published the photos of seven suspects, saying it is believed they have targetted more victims. Gatineau man, Luc Lacasse is among them. Another Gatineau man, 64-year-old Guy Chartrand was arrested by Gatineau Police. 31 raids have been carried out since Monday, nine are currently underway.
The suspects are facing charges of production, distribution of child porn, and sexual assault. A 5-year-old Quebec child has been identified, the hunt is on for more victims.
