The next time you’re riding the bus don’t be surprised if you see a potential sexual assault.

Thankfully, it's only a picture.

An edgy and provocative poster campaign showing examples of what constitutes sexual assault is coming to OC Transpo Buses this fall.

The campaign, called “Don’t Be THAT Guy,” hopes to raise awareness among young people about sexual consent. It includes pictures of various scenarios that could constitute a lack of consent, like a young woman unconscious on a bed while a man appears to be undressing nearby. It’s accompanied with the caption “It’s not sex… when she’s passed out.”

The campaign is a joint project between Crime Prevention Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital. The posters have been used previously in local bars. But this if the first time it will appear in such a public space. They will be placed on 800 OC Transpo buses for six weeks this fall.
