Prince William and Kate will attend nine events in 48 hours during their whirlwind Royal tour of Ottawa-Gatineau later this month.

After an airport welcome, the first stop for Their Royal Highnesses will be at the National War Memorial where they will lay a wreath in downtown Ottawa.

Next, it's off to their Ottawa home for two days -- Government House. That's where the Royal couple will host a reception and barbeque for Canadian youth on June 30.

To celebrate Canada's birthday, the couple will attend a citizenship ceremony at the Museum of Civilization; then they'll head over to Parliament Hill to watch both the noon and evening Canada Day celebrations.

"Obviously, Parliament Hill on Canada Day is going to be the big event so if you're hoping to meet them there, stake out your spot early because the crowds are expected to be huge," said Matthew Rowe, of the Monarchist League of Canada.

The couple will wrap up their trip to the capital with a tree planting ceremony on the grounds of Government House on July 2, followed by a reception with veterans, war brides and families at the Canadian War Museum.

The couple will also visit Montreal, Quebec City, PEI, Yellowknife and Calgary before leaving Canada for Los Angeles on July 8.
