The search is over for 49 year old Audrey St. Germain, reported missing Wednesday, July 15th, 2015.

The Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say St. Germain went missing Wednesday around 7 p.m. after she was seen walking into a wooded area behind her residence in Beckwith Township. That evening, police members of the Lanark County detachment along with an OPP Canine Unit, and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) started a search in the area of Richmond Rd., between Derry Side Rd. and Crooked Side Rd.

Officials say St. Germain returned safely around 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 16th, 2015.

“She walked out of the bush on her own accord suffering some minor dehydration, she’s been transported to hospital for precautionary measures,” said Constable Todd Sterrit.

Const. Sterrit says medical personnel will take over, before they continue their investigation.

“At this time we still need to talk to her and find out where she had been. I don’t want to say that she got lost,” said Sterrit.

Neighbours hearing of her return, say they are relieved to see a happy ending.

“We have a camera set up and there are foxes and a lot of other animals around here so I am happy that she’s okay, I’m glad that it’s not as bad as I thought it could have been," said Stephanie Roy, a nearby resident.
