A downtown Ottawa restaurant is open again after a water main break shut them down for muich of Saturday.

The Byward Market's Lone Star Texas Grill was closed around 8 p.m. Friday night after their basement was flooded with about two feet of water.

That water was drained but restaurant management said they spent much of the morning trying to figure out where the break happened.

"We closed around 8:30 p.m. on a Friday long weekend so that kind of hurt sales a little bit," said its manager. "We just want to open back up and get going, . . . hopefully by supper time we can batter up again and serve some fajitas."

Crews could be seen working in a hole dug at the entrance to their patio Saturday morning, with another hole made by an excavator just outside of it.

The break also caused a loss of power for nearby buildings as the water was shut off.
