Ottawa police have charged a 33-year-old Montreal man with 32 criminal offences after conducting a search warrant that uncovered a machine gun pistol and 38-calibre revolver at a south Ottawa home.
Police say officers seized a Mac 11 machine gun pistol and a 38-calibre revolver, along with ammunition, when they searched a home on Marlin Private as part of an ongoing investigation on Monday.
James Golding faces various charges, including possession of a restricted weapon and aggravated assault.
Golding made a court appearance on Tuesday. He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance scheduled for Wednesday.
