Ottawa Police have seized 27 firearms as part of an investigation into a break and enter in Rockcliffe Park earlier this week.
Police say 24 rifles and four handguns, in addition to other evidence, was seized Thursday, May 14th, 2015 as a result of three search warrants. Police say numerous firearms were stolen during a break and enter at a residence in the 1-100 block of Bittern Court in Rockcliffe Park on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015.
The warrants were executed Thursday in the 1-100 block of Jessica Private, the 1700 block of Russell Road, and the 1-100 block of Zenith Road in Gatineau.
As a result, police have laid charges against four people:
Michael Larocque, 34, is facing one charge of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Tammy Lescard, 34, is facing one charge of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Antonio Assaf, 18, and Omar Assaf, 48, are facing various charges including careless use of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm without a valid license, possession of a firearm obtained by crime and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,0000.
