Police are asking for the public's assistance to help find two men in unrelated missing persons incidents.

On Friday morning at around 11 a.m., Stormont Dundas and Glengarry OPP officers were called to help find James White, 81, of Crysler, North Stormont Township.

Staff at White's seniors' residence said he was upset with residence policy and said he was going to Nova Scotia.

White is described as 5 foot 4 inches tall and approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing grey pants, a grey and brown sweater, a red ball cap and carrying a black backpack.

OPP officers are asking anyone who may have seen White or possibly assisted him with any type of transportation, to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

The Ottawa Police are also looking for help in locating a 45-year-old Ottawa man. Gary Shields was last seen on April 25 shortly before noon.

He is described as a white male, 5 foot 10 inches, 170 pounds, short brown/grey hair, hazel eyes, a slight impairment to his left eye, a diamond earring in his left ear and a short, cropped beard and moustache.

Shields was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, a black windbreaker with a blue and white stripe on each sleeve and jeans.

Police say it is possible that he is distraught.
