Ottawa police are asking for the public's help in identifying the owner of a pair of reading glasses found near the crime scene of a murdered Ottawa woman in the city's west end.

Thirty-nine-year-old Pamela Kosmack's badly beaten and half-naked body was discovered by a woman walking her dog near an NCC bike path in Lincoln Heights Park on June 4.

Kosmack, a mother of two, lived about two kilometres from where her body was found.

Police say a pair of brown-framed Foster Grant reading glasses were located near Lincoln Heights Park and were likely owned by someone 40 years or older.

Investigators are appealing to the public to help identify the person who may have worn or owned and later misplaced reading glasses similar to those described at the time of Kosmack's death.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ottawa police at 613-236-1222 ext. 5477 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-TIPS.
