Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect wanted in the robbery of a convenience store earlier this month.

Police say a man entered a convenience store in the 1800 block of Baseline Rd. around 3:15 a.m. on December 11.

He demanded cash and indicated that he had a gun, although no gun was seen. That’s when police say an altercation happened between the suspect and an employee, during which the employee was struck in the head with a phone.

The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and met a second suspect who was waiting outside the store.

The clerk sustained minor injuries. The suspects were last seen running northbound on Navaho Dr. towards Iris St.

The primary suspect is described as having a darker complexion, around 18 years old, and about 5’8”. He has a slim build with black hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue bomber jacket with a fur collar and a hood, black jeans, a white belt, and his underwear was showing above the belt line.

His image was captured on camera at a nearby location. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ottawa Police.
