Ottawa Police are searching for a suspect wanted for two convenience store robberies.

The man walked alone into a store February 11 in the 300 block of McArthur Avenue, Police say.  He placed a duffel bag on the counter, pulled out a knife and demanded cigarettes and cash. He was handed both cash and cigarettes and ran away. The store clerk was not hurt.

The next day, February 12th, the same man robbed a store on Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard. Using the same method he made off with cash and cigarettes.

Police released images from the February 12th robbery.

The suspect is described as a  white male, 6’0”-6’2” (183–188cm), medium-muscular build, English speaking with an accent. The suspect was wearing a distinctive winter coat that has “PP” on the left chest area, “PL 1978” on one sleeve, and “Pelle Pelle” on both sleeves. In both heiests he was wearing a mask
