There is some difficult news to report involving the family of CTV Ottawa news anchor Carol Anne Meehan.
Ottawa police issued a missing person statement Thursday for Greg Etue.
As many of you know, Greg is Carol Anne's husband and a well-known pharmacist.
He has not been seen since Monday - and he has not had any contact with his family.
"There really is no way to describe what this ordeal has been like for us," said Meehan. "We continue to pray that Greg will be home soon, safe and sound."
The 56-year-old is described as five-foot-nine-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a grey jacket, baseball hat, and winter boots.
He was driving a dark blue 2008 Pontiac Montana van, Ontario licence BCRV 772, with a black storage box on the roof.
If you see him you're asked to contact police at 613-236-1222, ext. 2355.
We've been in contact with Carol Anne throughout the week. She has asked us to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes.
"I wish I could put into words how grateful I am for the outpouring of love and support we are receiving from family, friends, and the community," Carol Anne said. "We continue to pray that Greg will be home soon, safe and sound.
"Again, we are asking anyone who might have seen his Blue Pontiac Montana with a Thule ski box on top to call police immediately."
She is also asking for privacy for her children's sake through this incredibly difficult time.
Carol Anne's CTV family is all thinking about her, and we know you at home are as well.
"All of our thoughts and prayers are with Carol Anne and her family as they go through what really is an unimaginable experience and an extraordinarily tough one to cope with," said Richard Gray, vice-president and general manager of CTV Ottawa. "Our hope is that Greg will return safe and very soon."
