Ottawa police are still looking for the person who shot and killed an Ottawa teen last week, according to a media report.

Yazdan Ghiasi, 16, was shot and dumped from a car on Booth Street last Monday. He was pronounced dead in hospital.

Three men have already been charged in connection with the killing. One is charged with second-degree murder, the others are charged with accessory after the fact.

The Ottawa Sun quotes sources saying police are still looking for the person who shot Ghiasi.

Police would not confirm that to CTV Ottawa on Wednesday. However, the investigation is ongoing and police said further arrests are possible.

Police used metal detectors to comb the snow-covered area around a Fisher Avenue apartment complex over the weekend. Last week, police issued a plea to the public asking anyone with information about the daylight shooting to come forward.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact investigators at 613-236-1222, ext. 5493 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
