Ottawa police have released photos of two men wanted in connection with an Elgin Street stabbing in the early hours of Jan. 24.

Two men become involved in a fight with five or six other males at the corner of Elgin and Frank streets just before 3 a.m.

Both men were attacked, and one victim suffered a stab wound to the lower abdomen.

Three assailants fled in a Blue Line taxi parked in front of the Elgin Street Diner. They were dropped off at 456 Cooper St., at the intersection of Kent Street.

The first suspect is described as an unshaven black male, 20 to 25 years old, with short dark curly hair. He was wearing a dark three-quarter-length jacket with a high rounded collar and light-coloured pants.

The second suspect was a clean-shaven black man, 20 to 25 years old, with small gold loop earrings in both ears. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, a white toque, and a shiny dark jacket with a hood and light-coloured stripes over the chest area.

One man has already been arrested. Dahir Ahmed Ali, 23, is charged with assault, aggravated assault, and breach of undertaking.
