Police are investigating three suspicious west-end incidents where a man followed and approached children with a van.

The latest report came on Wednesday, after a 13-year-old boy was approached while walking on Skeena Avenue near Normandy Crescent at 8:50 a.m.

A man driving a white van asked the boy to come closer, as he "had something for him." The boy declined, but the man followed for about 100 metres.

On Monday, a man in a silver van with black decals followed a 13-year-old girl along Craig Henry Drive around 2 p.m.

And on several days during the week of Oct. 8, at around 3 p.m., a man in a white van followed an 11-year-old boy while he walked near Knoxdale Road and Bertona Avenue. The van's licence plate may have contained the numbers "717."

The suspect was described as a white male between 40 and 50 years old with gray/white hair. He was wearing a baseball hat.
