Ottawa police are on the hunt for a man after a pharmacy was robbed in Blackburn Hamlet last week.

The robbery happened on March 15 at a pharmacy in the 2600 block of Innes Road. The suspect handed a note to a clerk demanding prescription drugs. He also showed the employee a handgun, though it is unclear whether it was real.

The man fled with a small quantity of drugs.

The suspect has been identified as Dereck Giguere, 19, of Ottawa. He is described as white, five-feet-nine, and 130 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes and wears glasses.

Giguere has been charged with robbery, possession of a weapon to commit an offense, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm while prohibited, and breach of probation and an arrest warrant has been sought.
