An Ottawa couple reported missing after visiting family in the Toronto area has been found safe in Oshawa.
Matt Perkins, 24, and Chantelle Hoover, 21, were located by Durham regional police at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The pair had travelled to the Toronto area to visit family members on Dec. 26.
On Jan. 11, they were dropped off at a Via Rail train station in Oshawa and had not been seen since.
Police say the couple bought bus tickets for Port Hope but later tried to get them refunded.
